"Thank you Pandemic! May I have another?"

One thing I forgot to mention in the review is the fact that the game is quick, quick to learn, quick to play. You can easily get through a game in under an hour. That's good since sometimes the game will turn on you like an angry meerkat and you have little choice but to play again and try and salvage your pride. Seriously, when this game gets mean you'd better get your frilly little panties on because you are going over the barrel and you are going to like it missy!

Yeah it's that mean.

Pandemic, the Dominatrix of board games.

Furries! Part Two - Bedouin Aardvarks!

Wow there is a lot to this game. There is a ton of stuff I didn't get to. Long story short though, it's good even with it's flaws, and more importantly, it's different.

Damn! Beaten to the punch! A Deadliest Warrior rant.

Damn it all! The Spoony One has beaten me to the random bitching I was going to do! And worse yet, it's good. You can see it here http://spoonyexperiment.com/ . Well never mind, the guys didn't hit all my points so I quickly tossed off a rant of my own covering the stuff that strikes me about the show. Consider this my addendum to the Deadliest Warrior hate.

Furries! Part One - The Bad

Yeah, I knew that this one has been coming since the first post. It's a little longer then the others and I still had to reign myself in and quit early. There is so much about this game that I don't like.

Special Demo Review - Maschine Zeit

I played in a demo this weekend. It's for an unreleased game called Maschine Zeit. My spell checker hates it. How did I feel? Check it out.

As an aside, when checking out their website you are allowed to use the actual English spelling of machine in Machine Age Productions.

Oh I forgot to mention in the video, the game also apparently has a system for characters with psychic powers. That way you can include one in your party to turn your regular horror into Steven King horror. I didn't mention it because we didn't use those rules in the demo.

The second review - Passion Play

And here is the second promised review of a game I didn't like quite so much, a lazy, half-assed LARP conversion of a pretty decent table top game. So, everyone get out your doublets, lace up your breeches and strap on your blasters for the Passion of the Fading Suns.

The first review - Malifaux

OK as promised here is my first ever game review. It's a charming little minis game where cowgirls fight wizards and murderous cockneys in hell.... Malifaux.

Follow up note: There was in fact a Drew Barrymore movie called Doppelganger in 1993 although whether the model has anything to do with that, as was suggested, I do not know. I am also unlikely to find out as that would require watching a 1993 Drew Barrymore evil twin thriller and I really have better things to do with my life.
